Loved this post and related to it so much. My book coach transformed my creative life when she had me block out 2 hours a day for writing and hold that sacred. Some times I end up only writing for an hour or 90 minutes. I no longer beat myself up because I’m not writing “all day.” After 2-3 hours I’m toast. P.S. Thank God I’m not the only one who procrastinates!
Writing for a shorter period of time can take some of the worry about achieving a certain page or word count. This can be because during the in between time you might become revved up for your writing session by thoughts, inspirations, observations or realizations. These can easily turn into 4 pages or roughly 2,000 words right there.

Yes, it's draining to write for three hours! It took me a really long time to realize this. I like your book coach:)
